Terms of use for this website
The short version
- These terms cover this website only. Using Clerq itself is governed by the written agreement with your practice.
- Nothing here is immigration or legal advice, and nothing here is a promise about the outcome of any application.
- Descriptions of the product are current at the date above and may change as Clerq develops.
What these terms apply to
These terms govern your use of clerq.nz. Clerq is a product of Trailblazer Labs Limited, a New Zealand company.
They do not govern use of the Clerq application at app.clerq.nz. That is covered by the separate written agreement between Trailblazer Labs and the practice holding the account. Where the two differ, that agreement prevails for anything to do with the product, your data, service levels or fees.
This site is not advice
Clerq is software for licensed immigration advisers. It is not an immigration adviser, and neither is this website.
Nothing on this site is immigration advice, legal advice, or advice about your particular circumstances, and nothing on it should be relied on as a statement of what Immigration New Zealand will decide. References to the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007, the Licensed Immigration Advisers Code of Conduct 2014 and the Privacy Act 2020 describe how the software is designed; they are not a substitute for your own professional judgement or your own legal advice. A practice remains responsible for its own compliance.
Product descriptions
We describe features that exist, and we take care to describe them accurately. Software changes: a feature described here may be altered, and a feature that is described as available under one plan may move. What a practice is entitled to is what its agreement says, on the day it says it.
Screens and examples shown on this site are illustrations built from fictional data. They are not real client files, and no real person appears in them.
Availability
We do not promise this website will be available uninterrupted or free of error. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice. Service commitments for the Clerq product live in the practice's agreement, not here.
Intellectual property
The content, design, code and marks on this site belong to Trailblazer Labs Limited or its licensors. You may read, print and share pages for your own use, and quote from them with attribution. You may not present them as your own, or use the Clerq name or mark in a way that suggests an endorsement or a relationship that does not exist.
The Geist typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License and remains the property of its authors.

Where we link to another site, we do not control it and are not responsible for its content or its privacy practices.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on anything published on it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version published here at the time you use the site is the one that applies.
